Cisco Nexus 2232TM 10GBase-T Fabric Extender with rack ears

Description

Cisco Nexus 2232TM fabric extender. This unit is a fabric extender, which means that it must be connected to a Nexus switch capable of managing fabric extenders with FEX transceivers, as is the case with all of the members of the Nexus 2000 series. These are working pulls from a data center environment.
The Nexus 2232TM features 32 10GBase-T RJ-45 ports which support autonegotiation at 100mbit, 1gbit, or 10gbit using standard CAT5/CAT5e/CAT6/CAT7 ethernet cabling to your devices.
It also has 8 SFP+ FEX uplink ports for use in linking it to the switch that will serve as its controller.
We have utilized Nexus 9372 and Nexus 5548 switches as controllers for our FEX deployments with great success and a wide range of models support FEX attachment. Each of these FEXes features dual redundant AC power supplies. The fan trays and power supplies are configured for port side exhaust, meaning that cold air is taken in from the power supply side of the unit.
The Nexus 2232TM FEX
is capable of hardware forwarding at up to 800Gbps and 595mpps.
