The body of the Connector replacement is made of aluminum, and the rod is made of steel.
Replacing the Toggle Bracket does not require disassembly and removal of the square drive rod. The only requirement is that the old plastic one must be completely broken off and removed. When doing my own chair, a small part was still on the square rod when it broke, so I removed it with a pair of pliers to crack it off completely.
The toggle comes with plastic split bushings to put around the rod for the 3 metal supports near the clevis bracket.
The Motor End Clevis replaces the plastic stock original. It comes with metal spacers to place it between the toggle bracket.
Install it as shown in the above pictures using your existing pins. A set of instructions will also be sent with this item.
